4月27日（土曜日）午前11時〜12時　矢ヶ崎公園会場にてKFF2024オープニングイベントを開催します。どなたでも無料で自由にご参加いただけます。

佳作賞とグランプリの発表、審査員によるコメント、Nobechi Creative提供のフランス産シャンパン（もしくはノンアル・スパークリングワイン）での乾杯、森のチェロコンサート（雨天中止の場合あり）、KFF公式グッズもご用意しております。

また、12:30からは、審査員でフォトグラファー・成蹊大学教授の塩澤一洋先生によるトークイベント：「ポジティブな写真術〜応募作品へのメッセージと審査のウラ話」（有料）も矢ヶ崎公園にある新軽井沢会館で開催されます。

KFF実行委員会は皆様のご来場を心よりお待ちしております。

Saturday, April 27, 11:00 a.m. - the KFF2024 Opening Event will be held at the Yagasaki Park site. Everyone is welcome to attend free of charge.

Honorable Mention and Grand Prize awards will be announced, there will be comments by a juror, a toast with French champagne (or non-alcoholic sparkling wine) provided by Nobechi Creative, a forest cello concert (subject to rain cancellation), and official KFF merchandise will be available.

In addition, from 12:30 p.m., a talk event: "POSITIVE PHOTOGRAPHY: INSIDE STORIES OF KFF JURYING" by Professor Kazuhiro Shiozawa, juror, photographer, and professor at Seikei University (paid event) will be held at Shin-Karuizawa Kaikan located in Yagasaki Park.

The KFF Executive Committee looks forward to seeing you there.

写真家によるフォトスポット無料撮影会＠追分公園4.28.10:00~14:00

4月28日（日曜日）午前10時〜14時の間、追分公園会場にてフォトスポットを設置します。写真家によるポートレート・家族写真撮影会を開催します。KFFのメールマガジン（無料）にご登録いただいた方には、無料でデジタルカメラで撮影した画像をご提供いたします。KFFのクリエティブ・ディレクターで、写真家の野辺地ジョージ氏も撮影メンバーに加わりますので是非この機会に写真を撮ってもらってください。また、KFFの特別協賛社FUJIFILMのInstaxカメラを使ってのチェキでの撮影も可能です。200枚のフイルムを用意しておりますので、こちらは1組2枚まで、チェキ代は一枚200円を頂戴いたしますので、ご希望の方は小銭を用意していただけますと幸いです。

また、フォトスポットは、ご家族の記念写真などにご自由にご利用ください。

A photo booth will be set up at the Oiwake Park site on Sunday, April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Portrait and family photo sessions will be held by photographers, and those who sign up for KFF's free e-mail newsletter will receive free digital camera images. KFF's creative director, photographer George Nobechi, will be among the photographers, and we hope you will take advantage of this opportunity! Please take advantage of this opportunity to have your photo taken. We will also have 200 sheets of FUJIFILM Instax film and a camera available. Limited to 2 per group, you can take photos using the Instax for ¥200 per sheet of film.

The photo spot can also be freely used for commemorative family photos, etc.

The VIDEO Festival Pass consists of permanent video access (YouTube account required) to all 7 KFF Lecture Series lectures + bonus 8th lecture: Brett Erickson's lecture video at the KFF Fundraising Dinner. Videos will be available approximately one month after the live events, due to editing and adding of English language subtitles. 13,200 yen including tax
The LIVE & VIDEO Festival Pass includes access to all 7 KFF Lecture Series lectures + perpetual access to archived videos (Bonus: 8 lectures including Brett Erickson's lecture at the KFF Fundraising Dinner). Videos will be available approximately one month after the live events, due to editing and adding of English language subtitles. 16,500 yen including tax

Festival Pass (Live) Priority Reservations: Festival Pass holders are entitled to priority reservations for lectures. Please send an email to the KFF Event Team with the event you wish to reserve, your name, and the phrase "Festival Pass Priority Reservations".

Festival Pass (Live) and Festival Pass (Live + Video) purchasers will receive their passes at the first event they attend. Please present your pass at each event afterwards.

KFF2023 DIGEST VIDEO

2023年4月1日から5月14日の間に軽井沢で開催された野外展示型写真祭　第1回軽井沢フォトフェストの記録動画です。ゲストとして、世界的な写真家、サム・エイベル、ジェーン・エブリン・アトウッド、井津建郎、井津由美子ご夫妻をお招きしました。また、プレイベント講師として、アーサー・マイヤーソン、塩澤一洋、野辺地ジョージ、成田貴亨、柿島貴志、速水惟広、SHINYA B、山口一彦の各氏によるセミナーやワークショップも開催しました。

This is a video summary of the first edition of Karuizawa Foto Fest, an outdoor exhibition photo festival held in Karuizawa from April 1st to May 14th, 2023, with guest appearances by Sam Abell, Jane Evelyn Atwood, Kenro Izu and Yumiko Izu. Seminars and workshops were also held by Arthur Meyerson, Kazuhiro Shiozawa, George Nobechi, Takayuki Narita, Takashi Kakishima, Ihiro Hayami, SHINYA B, and Kazuhiko Yamaguchi.

避暑地だけではない軽井沢

軽井沢には、いくつかのレイヤーがあります。

暑さを凌ぐ避暑地としてのレイヤー。体を休める癒しの場所としてのレイヤー。芸術・アートを楽しむ場所としてのレイヤー。ゴルフやテニス、スキー、ハイキング、キャンプを楽しむ場所としてのレイヤー。ショッピングの場としてのレイヤー、近年はビジネスをリモートで行うばとしてのレイヤー、夏だけでなく一年を通して通うあるいは永住の場としてレイヤー。そして、高原野菜などの生産地としてのレイヤー。皇室をはじめ政界、経済界の名だたる人々が集う場としてのレイヤー。

これらレイヤーごとに見える風景が違って見えることでしょう。KFFでは、写真を通して様々なレイヤーの顔を期待しています。

Karuizawa is more than just a summer retreat for well-heeled Tokyoites. It is a highland community rich with galleries, museums, culture and history, all set in amongst verdant forests, soaring volcanic peaks and tumbling waterfalls and located just 65 minutes from Tokyo on the Nagano Shinkansen bullet train, accessible via the Japan Rail Pass. It has been an important stop for travelers dating back several centuries, and was a post-town on the old Nakasendo Way - the mountainous trail that connected the capital of Edo (present day Tokyo) with Kyoto. In the 1800s, Karuizawa was reborn as a getaway from the summer heat, under the guidance of Canadian missionary Alexander Croft Shaw and English professor James Main Dixon. Today you will find many sources for inspiration - from contemporary architecture seen in villas, hotels and cafes that incorporate the natural landscape into their design, to the beauty of nature itself. Nearly everywhere in Karuizawa is photogenic.
